The Groundings DC is a two day event. Meetup takes place at 11:00am, at the Hains Point Picnic Area – Google Maps on both days of the event.
DAY ONE: SATURDAY, AUGUST 14, 2021
Saturday will be bbq style. There will be plenty of food and drink. There will be giveaways, prizes, and epic rides. So be sure to come out and enjoy the camaraderie and fun with your PEV Bredren.

● U Mad is a G’Mob beginning at the wharf and ending at Veterans Plaza in Downtown Silver Spring.
What is a G’Mob?
● A G’Mob (Glydiator Mob) is a sporty, freeform ride style popularized by the Glydiators. G’Mobs are exciting because they present a rider with maximum challenge in a real world situation replete with the numerous hazards to anticipate and obstacles to navigate. Speed is relative to conditions and G’Mobs push the limit within the conditions presented. Due to the pace and congested urban environment where the rides occur, G’Mobs inherently elevate risk to the rider over standard group rides; hence the reason G’Mobs are typically involve experienced riders with performance PEVs. It is important to
remember that when participating in a G’Mob, each rider must evaluate their own comfort levels and behave accordingly. While G’Mobs do increase risk to the rider, they do not deliberately seek to invite pedestrians or other vehicles occupying the roads into the risk picture. We seek to always maintain a standard of conduct that shows respect to all members of our community, and to the drivers of vehicles who occupy and share our streets For Uptown Madness each rider is encouraged to ride at their own pace. There is no requirement to ride fast. We will wait for everyone at the destination before returning downtown. Some will want to ride faster, and some will want to ride slower; it’s up to you. There are no prizes offered to the person who arrives first.
